The Corporation for National Service (Corporation)is a federal agency that funds and support the national service programs AmeriCorps*State/National, AmeriCorp*NCCC, AmeriCorps*VISTA, Learn and Serve America, and the National Senior Service Corps. The legislation that created the Corporation mandated that if a state wanted to receive funds to support AmeriCorps*State programs it would have to create a commission on national and community service. There are now 49 commissions (excluding North and South Dakota: including Puerto Rico). The Corporation seeks external contractor(s) to serve as Project Director and as review team leaders, members, and financial experts to assess the administrative systems of the state service commissions that receive funding from the Corporation. The purpose of utilizing external contractor(s) is to bring an objective perspective and specific skills to the commission assessments. It is estimated that the period of performance will be three (3) years from date of contract award, one base year with two (2) options years. The Government anticipates award of firm fixed price type of contract(s). Several awards may result from this requirement. Request must be submitted in writing via mailed,fax or email.
