this project was first posted 16 September, 1999 under Solicitation
number F0561199B9011. NOTE: The solicitation number has been changed to
F0561100R0505. Be advised, there are now two (2) synopses for this
project on EPS; one for each solicitation number. However, both
synopses are identical. The solicitation will only be posted with
F0561100R0505. This project includes, but is not limited to, provide
protective coating maintenance at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado.
The contractor(s) shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools,
materials, supplies, transportation, supervision and other items and
services necessary to perform Protective Coating Maintenance for the
U.S. Air Force Academy, Farish Memorial Recreation Area, and the
Ellicott Auxillary Airfield. Services include protective coatings,
surface treatments, caulking, street markings and airfield markings.
The contract type for this acquisition will be an indefinite delivery
indefinite quantity (IDIQ). The performance period will be one basic
year and four one-year options, exercised unilaterally at the
discretion of the Government. The minimum quarantee is $100,000 for the
basic year for each of the two contractors awarded on this contract and
an estimated maximum of $5.5 million over the term of the contract.
This acquisition will result in a multiple award to two contractors. Be
advised, any successful offeror(s) must be able to process transactions
of a Government Purchase card (currently VISA). The contractor(s) will
be permitted storage on-site in a pre-designated contractor storage
yard. All applicable provisions and clauses are included in the actual
solicitation that can be found at http://www.eps.gov under EPS For
Vendors, USAF, Offices, Direct Reporting Units-Locations, 10TH ABW/LGC,
Posted Date. The specifications and drawings will be available only on
EPS (hard copies will be issued). The solicitation is tentatively
scheduled to be issued on or about 14 January 2000. The applicable SIC
code is 1721 and the small business size standard for this
solicitation is one where the average annual receipts of the concern
and its affiliates for the preceding three fiscal years does not exceed
$7 million. This solicitation is being competed but restricted to 8(a)
Region VIII, "Colorado" contractors under Section 8(a) of the Small
