The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) intends to issue a follow-on contract on a sole source basis to Logica Carnegie Group of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The contractor will provide system architect services to DARPA's Joint Force Air Component Commander (JFACC) Program. Responsibilities include facilitating and coordinating multiple research efforts in the science of control theory, validating the efficacy of the research to military command and control, and developing revolutionary command and control system architecture concepts based on experimental discoveries. Logica Carnegie Group is the only source known to the Government with the capabilities, in-depth expertise, and personnel that can satisfy the requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However all capability statements received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered, in order to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
