necessary to perform dry-docking and repairs including but not limited
to the following base and options items: (1) Welding Repairs, (2)
Clean, Inspect and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks, (3) Clean and Inspect
Ballast Tank(s), (4) Clean and Inspect Sewage Collection and Holding
Tank(s), (5) Inspect Z-Drive Propulsion Unit(s) (6) Preserve the
Transducer Hull Ring and Renew the Depth Indicating Transducer, (7)
Clean Gaylord and Laundry Ventilation Ducting (8) Overhaul and Test
Valves and Inspect Waster Pieces, (9) Inspect Bow Thruster Tunnel and
Lower Unit, (10) Inspection of Chain In-haul Device (Level II), (11)
Inspection of Hydraulic Chain Stoppers (Level II), (12) Overhaul
anchors and Anchor Chains (Complete), (13) Inspect and Test Small Boat
Davit, (14) Inspect and Test Buoy Crane (Level II), (15) Perform
Non-Destructive Testing of Pad Eye Fittings, (16) Preserve Various
Bilges, (17) Preserve Underwater Body, (18) Preserve Chain Locker, (19)
Renew Cathodic Protection System, (20) Ultrasonic Testing, (21) Provide
Temporary Logistics, (22) Routine Dry-docking. The Vessel is a 175 foot
Class Coastal Buoy Tender. The vessel's minimum depth of water is 18
feet. The vessel's minimum height clearance is 93 feet. Vessel's
homeport is located in Portland, Maine. The performance period for this
vessel is forty-two (42) calendar days beginning on or about 15 May
2000. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East
Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. A non-refundable charge
of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order
made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. Drawings
are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all
cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten
(10) days from solicitation issuance]. This procurement is subject to
the Small Business Competitiveness Program. All businesses, large and
small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements.
Plans and specifications will be issued on or about January 28, 2000.
