The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida, intends to issue a contract through limited competition to either Eaton Corp, 2250 Whitfield Avenue, Sarasota, FL, or Babcock Engineering, 14930 East Alondra Blvd, La Mirada, CA, for delivery of 64 each Remote Controlled Circuit Breakers (RCCBs). Remote Controlled Circuit Breakers are required for the maintenance and operation of the Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC). The required RCCB is unique in that it has 15-amp rating which is not widely used by commercial aircraft. The RCCB must be the form, fit and function equivalent to RCCBs currently used on the LCAC. Only two vendors are currently on the Qualified Products List (QPL) for furnishing RCCBs for use on the LCAC. Eaton Corp. part number SM601BA15N32 AND Babcock part number 703-S0114 are the equivalent circuit breakers. The items being provided are unique and non-standard. Posted 01/11/00 (W-SN414997). (0011)
