This is a notice of intent to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis of items manufactured by Simuntion a Division of SNC Industrial Technologies, Inc., 5 Montee des Arsenaux, Le Gardeur (Quebec), Canada J5Z 2P4 from Tactical & Survival, Inc., 1832 S. Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22801. Items to be purchase are Protective Face Masks, Protective Throat Guards and Protective Vest. The following is the list of items to be purchased under the authority of FAR 6.302. FX (TM) Protective Face Mask -399 Each, designed to protect face, eyes, and ears from impact of FX (TM) projectiles. The lens is designed to withstand the impact of FX Marking ammunition. The lenses are certified to ANSI Z87.1 Section 10 Standards. FX Protective Throat Guards Med/Large -- 264 each and Med/Small -- 135 each and are designed to protect the throat and neck from direct impact from FX projectiles and are machine washable and dryable for ease of maintenance. FX Protective Vest -- 399 each -designed to protect the torso and groin area from the impact of FX Marking Projectiles. This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source purchase order/contract to Tactical & Survival, Inc., Harrisonburg, VA 22801. Offerors who can furnish the same items listed above may submit, in writing, a proposal substaniated by technical data, brochures, pictures, etc. to include pricing data/information (FOB designation). All responses must be received within 15 calendar days of the date of this CBD notice. No telephone requests will be accepted. Requests for a solicitation will be considered nonresponsive. All responses from responsible sources submitting the required information will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be competed with resulting award under the Simplied Acqusition Procedures. Responsible firms responding to this sysnopsis will be considered if the aciton is competed. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the descretion of the Government.
