The tank shall be a transportable system that will add flexibility to the extraneous noise testing capabilities. The system shall accommodate pressures in excess of 750psi, have a fatigue life of 8 million cycles from 0 to 750psi in increments of 15,000 cycles per test unit. The tank material shall have no more than 8dB transmission loss from 100Hz to 100kHz. During is pressurization cycle, the tank shall have a background level of sea state 0 across the frequency band defined above. The interior dimensions shall be a minimum of 48 inches in diameter and 48 inches high. The tank shall have an access cover 36 inches in diameter. The cover may be made of steel. The tank shall have a penetrator in the top cover to accommodate four cables running to the interior of the tank. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR Part 13) and Commercial Items (FAR Part 12) apply. Delivery will be FOB Destination, Newport, RI. Inspection and acceptance shall be Newport, RI upon delivery.
