requirement for Engineering Support Services. This synopsis was
formerly published in the Commerce Business Daily on December 28, 1998
under Solicitation No. DAAD05-99-R-0504. The objectives of this
contract are as follows: (1) To obtain ballistics field data
acquisition support, laboratory test support and logistic and
administrative support for selected test programs where specific tasks
would include, but not be limited to, any of the following: range
preparation, to include geodetic and exterior ballistic preparations;
installation, setup, alignment, verification, operation, maintenance,
and repair of instrumentation and equipment; recording test data and
preparation of data sheets; removal of instrumentation; data analysis;
and report preparation. (2) Operate and test items while stationary
and on specific test courses to obtain required data, providing
maintenance of the test items and preparing technical reports on
testing performed. Specif tasks include,but are not limited to the
following: acceptance, inspection, and transportation of test items and
instrumentation, observations, measurement and readings. Warehousing
support functions include, but are not limited to the following:
receive, order, store, turn-in inventory, issue and deliver equipment,
materials, lubricants and radioactive materials; and maintain locator
files and control registers. (3) Test artillery, ammunition,
weapons-related equipment, armor, and weapons; repair artillery and
related equipment; painting and sign making; operate heavy equipment;
operate bridge boats; provide range support; provide fire control
support; and provide simulation support. This solicitation combines
current contracts DAAD05-94-D-7032, DAAD05-94-D-7018 and
DAAD05-95-D-7023. A time and materials requirements contract will be
issued with a 12 month base period and four one-year option periods. It
is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued approximately 1
March 2000. The official release of this Request for Proposal (RFP)
