This is the fifth amendment to the synopsis/solicitation notice, 00SQ307370. All previous amendments were issued in the Commerce Business Daily. The first amendment was issued on December 30, 1999, the second amendment on January 4, 2000, the third amendment on January 6, 2000, and the fourth amendment on January 7, 2000. THE DUE DATE FOR RECEIPT OF QUOTES IS AT THE CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON THURSDAY JANUARY 13, 2000. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK AND THE REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS INCORPORATED INTO THE REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AND THE DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK FOR Phase 1 and Options 1 through 4: Twenty four (24) hour a day, seven (7) day a week access to the Boulder City sewage treatment ponds and the Hoover Dam evaporation ponds will be provided IF ALL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS (such as lighting requirements) at the Hoover Dam evaporation ponds and the Boulder City sewage treatment ponds ARE SATISFIED. ALL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS MUST BE SATISFIED BEFORE TWENTY FOUR (24) HOUR A DAY, SEVEN (7) DAY A WEEK ACCESS TO THE HOOVER DAM EVAPORATION PONDS AND THE BOULDER CITY SEWAGE TREATMENT PONDS IS APPROVED. There is NO OUTDOOR LIGHTING at either the Hoover Dam evaporation ponds or the Boulder City sewage treatment ponds. There are no quantity and time restrictions on the amount of wastewater/sludge that may be emptied/pumped into the Boulder City sewage treatment ponds during any given period of time. The gate at the entrance to the Hoover Dam evaporation ponds is 12 feet wide. The gate at the entrance to the Boulder City sewage treatment ponds is substantially wider than the Hoover Dam entrance gate. PLEASE NOTE: amendments 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 to this Request for Quotation must be acknowledged in writing and the acknowledgment submitted with the quote. Failure of your acknowledgment of the amendments tobe received at the place designated for the receipt of offers prior to the hour and date specified may result in rejection of your offer.
