Locations may include both on-forest and off-forest sites. Preference is for contract to be of "revenue split" variety where the owner/provider of the equipment and the Forest Service share in the revenue on a percentage basis. Under a "split revenue" arrangement, there would be no purchase, lease or guaranteed monthly rental payments for the equipment. Other proposals containing a combination of "revenue split," purchase, lease and/or monthly rental may also be submitted for consideration. In all cases, the manager/provider of the equipment is responsible for installation and operation of the equipment, including mounting, connecting to USFS-provided 110 VAC power, collection and accounting of revenues, maintenance, and repair. Sites can be added to the original list of automated pay station locations under the terms of this agreement without further contract action.
