Work consists of, but is not limited to, surface preparation, metallizing and painting of the service bridge and replacement of rail clips at L/D 3, 5A & 6; WELCH, MN; FOUNTAIN CITY, WI; and TREMPEALEAU COUNTY, WI respectively. The work to be accomplished includes the following items: (1) Remove existing rails and rail clips from the service bridge; (2) Remove existing paint and lead based primer (located under each rail)from service bridge; (3) Transport and install Government-furnished rail clips; (4) Surface preparation, metallize and paint the tops of the bridge beams and rails; (5) Reinstall rails on bridge; and (6) Fabricate, finish and install new crane stops. This procurement is a competitive, set aside small business with SIC Code 1629.(For informational purposes only, the small business size standard is $17 Million). Estimated magnitude of construction in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Plans and specifications are expected to be available approximately February 15, 2000 with bid opening occurring on or about March 15, 2000.
