Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to procure Contractor
Logistics Support (CLS) for 16 E-6A & E-6B TACAMO aircraft (Boeing 707
derivative) and associated support and training equipment, through
full and open competition. The aircraft are stationed at Tinker AFB, OK
and forward deployed to NAS Patuxent River, MD, Travis AFB, CA, and
Offutt AFB, NE. These locations are not all inclusive. World-wide
deployments are possible. The proposed contract will include a base
year plus four option years, and is expected to run from FY2001 through
FY2005. Specific contractor logistics support includes, but is not
restricted to, the following tasks: 1) Management of existing spares
inventory, including a small number of items classified SECRET, 2)
procure additional spares as needed and directed, 3) repair repairable
spares for return to inventory, 4) continued employment of existing
spares usage and repair database containing both historical and current
data, 5) support equipment maintenance and supply support, 6) training
Navy organizational-level maintenance personal on use of support
equipment, 7) provide aircraft engineering expertise/field service
representatives as needed in support of recurring and non-recurring
emergent requirements, and 8) provide aircraft repair expertise as
needed to support repair of E-6 aircraft world-wide. NAVAIR intends to
release a draft Request For Proposal (RFP) via the Internet within 60
days. A bidders list will be constructed from responses received.
Respondents to any previous synopsis for E-6 CLS must respond to this
announcement to be included on the new list. Requests for the draft RFP
may be sent via e-mail to: SPIOTTAML@NAVAIR.NAVY.MIL. Written requests

Suite 155, 47123 Buse Road, Patuxent River, MD 20670-1161. All Internet
responses must provide the return Internet address and a Post Office
Mailing address within the body of the response. Internet responses
without the aforementioned address will not be recognized. NAVAIR
intends to have a pre-solicitation conference located at Patuxent
River, MD. All respondents will be notified via e-mail of the exact
date of the pre-solicitation conference. The solicitation will be made
available over the Internet in Microsoft Word 97 format and will
reside on the NAVAIR Home Page, located on the World Wide Web (WWW).
Offerors who have requested an electronic copy of the RFP will be
