17 -- PULL TEST OF GROUTED INJECTION ANCHORS & INSTALL & PULL TEST DRIVEABLE PLEATED STEEL GROUTED EXPANDER BODY ANCHORS SOL N68335-00-Q-0090 POC Amy Hayward, Code 25222AH, 732-323-2921 The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Structural Preservation Systems (SPS), a geotechnical contractor, located in Baltimore, MD on a Sole Source basis for the following tasks: Task 1: Pull Test Grouted Injection (Titan) Anchors: A total of 28 previously installed Grouted Injection Anchors at SPS in Baltimore, MD will be pull tested vertically and laterally to failure. A series of concrete reaction caps must be poured to encapsulate the anchor heads and provide the reaction and test piles structure required to test the anchors to failure. Various bearing and test plates, reference beams, hydraulic cylinders, struts, and gages will also be required to accomplish these tests. Task 2: Install Driveable Pleated Steel Grouted Expander Body (Soilex Anchors: Six Driveable Pleated Steel Grouted Expander Body (Soilex) Anchors will be installed at SPS, each to a depth of 9 feet. This system will be installed using various materials for expansion including cementitious grout and polyurethane basednon-expansive grout. Task 3: Pull Test Driveable Pleated Steel Grouted Expander Body (Soilex) Anchors: The installed anchors (Task 2) are required to be pull tested. A total of 6 anchors will be tested vertically and laterally to failure. Task 4: Install and Pull Test (Shallow) Grouted Injection (Titan) Anchors: Additional Grouted Injection Anchor installation and testing similar to Task 1. Two injection anchors will be installed to a depth of 6 feet and two injection anchors will be installed to a depth of 3 feet. One anchor at each depth will be tested to failure both vertically and laterally.
