MARKET RESEARCH. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. The Marine Corps
Systems Command (MCSC) is considering the procurement of a three
dimensional long range air surveillance radar for a foreign customer as
part of a planned Foreign Military Sales program. The objective is a
transportable system capable of low, medium, and very high altitude
detection of highly dynamic and complex targets (e.g., cruise and
ballistic missiles). The radar must be capable of being easily
integrated into MARK XII Integration Friend and Foe and known command
and control networks. Interested firms must be capable of also
providing an exportable subsystem which enhances overall system
survivability against all types of known threats (e.g., Unmanned Aerial
Vehicles, Cruise Missiles, Anti-Radiation Missiles, etc). In concert
with the Department of Defense's Total Package Approach, all interested
parties are requested to submit packages which identify all logistics
support (e.g., generators, environmental control units, training,
training equipment, five year depot and site spares, etc). All packages
received will be reviewed for performance, reliability, availability,
maintainability, and survivability. All respondents are requested to
identify if their proposed systems are fully developmental, partially
developmental, or production ready; a maximum production lead time of
twenty-four months is desired. A copy of the general requirement can be
provided upon request in electronic or hard-copy format. Interested
firms capable of meeting the requirement are invited to submit their
responses in three copies, not to exceed thirty (30) pages. THIS IS NOT
A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, NOR WILL THE GOVERNMENT PAY FOR ANY INFORMATION
SOLICITED. Acknowledgement of receipt will not be made. Proprietary
data will be protected when so designated. Firms should include in
their response whether or not they are a small or small disadvantaged
business. Posted 01/12/00 (W-SN415554). (0012) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0236 20000114\58-0012.SOL)
