The U.S. Department of Energy intends to award a simplified acquisition on a sole-source basis to Cognos Corporation for one year of maintenance/support for its MPE/iX PowerHouse software. PowerHouse is an integrated software which provides a programmer productivity tool set and an end-user report generation tool. The specialized software support will be utilized in support of the DOE Chief Financial Officer and the Departmental Integrated Standardized Core Accounting System (DISCAS). The determination to use other than full and open competition was made in accordance with 41 USC(c)(1). Interested parties are advised that no solicitation document is available for this acquisition.Interested persons may identify their interest and capacity to respond to this requirement or to submit capability statements.
