Request for Proposal # IX-00-01 for the continued operation of the Los Angeles Job Corps Center will be made available on or about February 18, 2000, on the Job Corps Acquisition Home Page (http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps/schedule). Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth, between the ages of 16-24. Contractors will manage and operate a Government owned/leased facility and hire staff for residential living, basic education, vocational training, and provisions for health care services in accordance with the applicable DOL/Job Corps regulations, and policy handbook and other applicable federal regulations. The center is located at 1106 South Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90015, and its contract capacity is for approximately 148 male residentials, 110 male non-residential, 232 female residential, and 245 female non-residential, for a total capacity of approximately 735 trainees. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a cost-reimbursable fixed-fee for a two year base period of December 1, 2000 through November 30, 2002, plus three performance based options of one year each. There will be a walk-thru of the Los Angeles facility, 1106 South Broadway, that will be convenied on March 1, 2000 at 10 AM (PST) followed immediately by a pre-proposal conference to be held on center. The RFP will consist of Oral Presentations, and Written Submissions as described in Section L of the RFP. We recommend that you download the RFP prior to attending the Pre-poposal Conference. All questions related to this procurement shall be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer prior to the Pre-proposal conference. Written portions of the proposal are due no later than 2:00 PM (PST) March 31, 2000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency.
