The Office of the Chief Financial Officer of the District of Columbia will release a solicitation (No. CFOPD-00-R-008) on or about January 18, 2000, requesting proposals from firms capable of and whose normal line of business is auditing and reporting on the progress made by various municipal agencies towards completion of capital funded projects. There are approximately 100 such projects in the Washington D.C. FY 2000 budget in various stages of completion. The results of the audits are to be reports to the CFO and the reports are to contain financial and project management analyses; information that will identify for the CFO and the Mayor of Washington D.C. where money is being efficiently utilized and where projects are on schedule and conversely, where money is allocated but underutilized and where progress is lagging. The Statement of Work will call for the Contractor's recommendations for appropriate corrective measures that can be taken by the District government to assist project managers enhance results and accountability. The release of the RFP will be announced in the CBD and instructions for retrieving it from the CFO's email-on-demand server will be provided in that notice.
