Potential Sources Sought: The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics
Center is seeking qualified sources that can provide various Fairbanks
Morse parts for engine models 38D8-1/8 and 38TD8-1/8. The engines are
installed for main propulsion on the U.S. Coast Guard's 140' WTCG and
378" WHEC class vessles. Delivery to be made to U.S. Coast Guard
Engineering Logistics Center, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. A requirement
type contract for a base year and four (4) option years is anticipated.
It is the Government's belief that only Coltec Industries, Fairbanks
Morse Engine DIvision can provide the various engine parts. Technical
data and/or drawings pertaining to the various engine parts is not
available within the Government ad are proprietary to the Original
Equipment Manufacturer, Coltec Industries, Fairbanks Morse Engine
Division. However, other potential sources having the expertise and
required capabilities can submit such data discussing the same in
duplicated within 15 days form the date of this announcement. The
following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of
the offered parts 1)(i.e. salient physical, functional and
serviceability characteristics, or 2) Data that the offered parts have
satisfactorily manufactued fo the Government or the original equipment
manufacturer. No cost or pricing is required. See numbered Note 22. All
responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the
agency. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
ONLY. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term
Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of
lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation
related contracts. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at
