Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) intends to acquire, on a Sole Make and Model basis, the listed software licenses and support contained in the attached Request for Quotation (RFQ). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). CSC intends to purchase the items from Wonderware, Inc. or any of its authorized resellers pursuant to FAR Part 13.106-1(b), which allows for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably available from only one source. CSC intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on January 28, 2000. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by CSC not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitionbasis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of CSC. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation as the RFQ (with description), Representations and Certifications, and CSC's Terms and Conditions are attached in Word 6.0 files. Quotations must include an executed RFQ, Certification package and any exceptions to CSC's Terms and Conditions for consideration.
