It is the intent of FISC, NNSY Annex to contract for 1" and 2" hose assemblies, steam rubber. Hose must meet the following minimum requirements: burst test pressure of 2500.0 pounds per square inch; inner conveying tube material to be either butyl, chlorobutyl, bromobutyl, or ethylene-propylene-diene-terpolymer; inside surface condition to be smooth; outer covering environmental protection to be abrasion, ozone and steam resistant; first layer to be braided steel wire; second layer to be molded rubber; third layer to be braided steel wire and outer layer to be molded rubber. This solicitation will be awarded as an Indefinite-Delivery Requirements type contract under FAR 13.5 test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Solicitation will include a base ordering period of one (1) year with four (4) one (1) year options. Option quantities will be the same as those set forth for the base year ordering period. All options will be evaluated with the base period. Delivery shall be FOB: Destination to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Receiving Officer Bldg. 276, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000.
