K -- EXPAND EXISTING RAULAND BORG NURSE CALL RESPONDER IV NURSE CALL SYSTEM SOL RFP NO 636-14-00 DUE 022300 POC Karen Goodell, Contracting Officer, 402-449-0613 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska intends to procure all necessary equipment and labor to install an extension to the existing Rauland Borg Resonder IV Nurse Call system. This is intended as a sole source procurement from Electronic Sound, Omaha, Nebraska, an authorized FSS Rauland Borg distributor. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all equipment, coordination of delivery of all equipment and providing qualified labor for installation on Floors 2, 5, 6, and 7. This acquisition will be conducted under FAR Part 12 for commercial services. Salient characteristics of the nurses call system is expansion equipment must match and be compatible with existing Rauland Borg Resopnder IV nurse call system, or equal. New system must be capable of integrated with the existing system. RFP No. 636-14-00 has been assigned to this solicitation and will be available approximately January 20, 2000.
