The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intends to negotiate a contract with Chemical Abstract Services (CAS) of the American Chemical Society to provide chemical expertise support in assisting the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) in making chemical identity determinations which are required to support the implementation of the Premanufacture Notification review mandated under Section 5(a) of TSCA, as well as the continuing development/update of the TSCA Chemical Substances Inventory.
