of Commerce/NOAA/Office of the Federal Coordinator for Meterology
proposes to negotiate on a sole source basis with Renaissance Houston
Hotel, Houston, Texas to provide conference facilities and support for
the 54th Interdepartmental Hurricane Conference scheduled for February
14, 2000 thru February 18, 2000. Hotel must accommodate lodging and
conference rooms (multiple on any given day) for at least 200 to 250
attendees. Hotel must accomodate catering and banquet requirements for
at least 200 people at the least cost. Hotel must have either-in-house
or at its disposal, administrative offices by which the conference can
complete its agenda items and on-going record of proceedings that are
also available round-the-clock for work afterhours. Hotel must be able
to furnish audio-visual equipment for the purpose of conducting the
conference. Hotel must have security areas to house computers and other
necessary equipment during off-hours of the conference. This is a
notice of intent and cannot be considered a solici- tation, package
exists. Award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures.
