R -- SCIENTIFIC REGISTRY OF TRANSPLANT RECIPIENTS (SRTR) SOL HRSA 231-OSP-2(0) POC Lorah Tidwell, Contracting Officer (301) 443-5128 e:mail ltidwell@hrsa.gov The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations to operate and maintain the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (Registry). Key tasks to be performed include: 1) establish and maintain a Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) to guide the scientific analysis of pre- and post- transplant data; 2) implement and maintain a data system for the development, implementation and operation of a computer system to store data collected by the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN); 3) implement and maintain security requirements; 4) conduct and report evaluation and research studies; 5) provide analytic support to the OPTN and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Secretary's Advisory Committee on Organ Transplantation; 6) conduct on-going analyses of Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) and transplant program-specific information; 7) work jointly with the OPTN contractor to prepare an annual report of solid organ transplantation; and 8) prepare a biennial report to Congress of the scientific and clinical status of solid organ transplantation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this Agency. Solicitation HRSA 231-OSP-2(0) will be released on or about February 22, 2000. Offerors will be provided sixty (60) days from release of this solicitation to submit proposals.
