Work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, material, and equipment for: (1) demolition and removals of existing and temporary structures, (2) clearing and grubbing, (3) excavation of wet and dry earth material from the existing dam embankment, river channel, and adjacent areas, (4) construction of temporary steel sheet pile cofferdams on upstream side of existing dam embankment, (5) construction in existing dam embankment of a new cast-in-place reinforced concrete spillway structure, (6) construction of stone protection in the dam spillway discharge river channel, (7) reconstruction of existing parking area and associated roadway, (8) landscaping, and (9) miscellaneous associated work and related site work. This procurement is issued under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Public Law 100-656) and is unrestricted in terms of business size. SIC is 1629 with a small business size standard of $17 million. The magnitude of construction in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $5 million and $10 million. If the firm recommended for award is a large business, it will be necessary for the firm to submit a subcontracting plan subject to approval prior to receiving award. For the purposes of formulating the subcontracting plan, the following goals, expressed as a percentage of all planned subcontracting dollars, are provided for information purposes: Small business- 61.2%; small disadvantaged business- 9.1%; women-owned small business- 5.0%.
