The scope of this project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, appliances, devices and materials and perform all necessary operations to construct an Interpretive Center. Work includes construction of a 5,500 square foot facility including multipurpose auditorium, exhibit space, offices, gift shop, lobby/reception area, audio/visual room, restrooms, storage, parking area and all site utilities. Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. Mr. Stephen J. Plaisted has been appointed as Ombudsman to hear concerns from offerors, or potential offerors, during the proposal development. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. Existence of an Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or the contracting officer.
