10 -- GUN BARRELS FOR BOEING MK44 AUTOMATIC GUN POC Contact Major Mark Richter, (703) 492-3396/Contracting Officer, John Martin, (703) 492-3329 The U.S. Marine Corps Direct Reporting Program Manager for Advanced Amphibious Assault (DRPM-AAA) intends to award a sole source contract to The Boeing Company, 5000 East McDowell Road, Mesa, AZ for seven commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Mk44 gun barrels and one lot of Mk44 Mod 1 automatic gun spare parts. The Boeing Company developed the Mk44 Mod 1 gun on which the barrels will be used for testing purposes. The barrels are planned to be used on the Marine Corps Advanced Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAAV) which is currently under development.
