The US Army TACOM-ARDEC has a requirement for Load, Assembly and Pack (LAP) of propelling charges used on the 81mm and 120mm mortar cartridges. The contractor must have the capability to safely store up to 200,000 lbs. Class 1.3 propellant and finished propelling charges. The period of performance is planned to be for a basic year and up to four option years. The basic year requirement is for 580,160 propelling charges for 120mm mortar cartridges. The option requirements are ranges of 30,000-80,000 for LAP of 81mm (M218/M219/M220) propelling charges and 100,000-620,000 for LAP of 120mm (M233/M234) propelling charges. Note: GFM (Increment Container and Propellant) will be provided only for the basic contract. The contractor shall be responsible for procuring increment containers and propellant for both the 120mm propelling charges (M233/M234) and the 81mm propelling charges (M218/M219/M220). The RFP/Contract shall require only US and Canadian sources for increment containers and propellant. See NumberedNote 13.
