in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12, 13.5
and 15. The John A Volpe National Transportation Systems Center has a
requirement to acquire forty (40) 2,400lb NAVMOOR anchors for delivery
to the Commanding Officer, U.S. Coast Guard Yard, Baltimore, MD.
Detailed specification and drawings will be set forth in the
solicitation. The contractor shall manufacture, test, paint, and
deliver the anchors. A Firm-Fixed-Price Contract is anticipated. This
procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The applicable
Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3462 and the small
business size standard is 500 employees. The solicitation and related
documents will be available in electronic format only on the Volpe
Center Acquis ition Division home page on the World Wide Web. Paper
copies of these documents are not available. These documents will be
available in text format and reside on a www server, which may be

Contractors are warned that when they register to receive
solicitations, amendments and other notices, the responsibility for
providing the Government with an accurate and complete e-mail address
lies with the contractor. The Government will make no additional
efforts to deliver information when the system indicates that
transmissions cannot be delivered to the e-mail address provided. This
notice is for information purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation
(DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU),
has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged
business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance
for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
