WRCC intends to competitively award a FFP contract for two (2) each special protected utility vehicles for delivery FOB Destination Ramstein, Germany. Vehicles are for use overseas. Utility vehicle 4X4, modified with ballistic armoring. Minimum ballistic protection shall be IAW testing procedures utilized by the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA) in Germany and U.S. testing certification procedures. Only those opaque and transparent armor materials tested by an armor test laboratory (e.g. H.P. White/, Beschussamt/ BKA) and having received certification as having met the U.S. Navy armor material standard articulated by the U.S. Department of State shall be used in the special protected vehicle fabrication (no armor material substitution is authorized, unless tested and certified). Contractor shall have maintenance/repair and service facilities throughout all European countries especially Germany, Italy, Turkey and the Balkans. Desired DEL is hundred and twenty (120) DARO. Anticipated issue date of the SOL is 24 Jan 00 with a closing date of approx. 24 Feb 00. Procurement will be conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
