Lloyd, 703-358-1728, Contracting Officer The US Fish and Wildlife Service seeks proposals to procure identification tags to attach to wildlife pelts and skins of selected species authorized for exportation. A two-step proposal evaluation process is contemplated. During Step 1, bidders are required to submit for evaluation a technical proposal and a minimum of 15 proposal samples. The Service will evaluate proposal samples for compliance with the specifications. No pricing is necessary. Step 2 of the solicitation will be the request for prices by those bidders who submitted acceptable technical proposals and samples in Step 1. Tags must be one piece, tamper resistant, easy to attach, lock, and not require special tools for attachment. Attempts to remove the tag should result in either destruction of or damage to the tag. Tags must be resistant to the heat, cold, chemical and mechanical processing and an alphanumeric information will be permanently applied to the tag surface. Detailed specifications will be provided in the solicitation. Tags will be ordered by FWS based upon requests from federal, state and local agencies. Based upon the agencies needs, there can be a wide variation in quantities ordered in each delivery order. Previous individual order quantities ranged from as low as 150 tags to 25,000 tags. This is a one-year delivery order contract with four (4) one-year options. Interested parties should submit written requests for the RFP package to Anna R. Lloyd, Contracting Officer.
