This procurement will be for commercial item services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12 and will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. SSA intends to award multiple blanket purchase agreements (BPA) in the areas of general events management, electronic events management and events management that includes individuals who have wide and varied disabilities. The period of performance shall be one year from the date of award with provisions for the inclusion of a two one-year option period. Solicitation number SSA-RFQ-00-0181 is scheduled for release on or about January 21, 2000, with proposals due 14 days later. No telephone requests for the RFQ will be honored.
