Digital aerial imagery at resolution of 0.7 meters Ground sample Distance (GSD), natural color image, georeferenced, delivered in GEOTIFF format on CD-ROM. Total of approximately 20,000 "Primary Sample Unit" sites (PSU Sites) located nationwide. Location of each site will be identified by latitude longitude coordinates and ground elevation. Each site requires one image that will be viewed at 1:7,920 scale for data interpretation. Image acquisition periods are established by state according to agricultural growing seasons and range from May 15 through September 15, 2000. A digital camera with GPS aircraft guidance system is highly recommended. Solicitation (RFP) USDA/NRCS-2-00 will be issued on or about February 3, 2000, with proposals due March 6, 2000.
