This is a potential technology development and licensing opportunity with Bechtel BWXT Idaho, LLC (BBWI), the prime operating contractor for the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). This system targets the need for new HVAC control technology that increases end-use energy efficiency while maintaining air quality consistent with proposed ASHRAE-62 air quality standards. Applications for such technology include air quality control and increased HVAC efficiency for occupied and unoccupied office and industrial buildings, air quality control and contaminant detection in specialized industrial or medical environments, and detection of signature off-gasses from a variety of chemical/biological processes in the chemical, agricultural, and other industries. BBWI is seeking a written indication of interest from companies interested in commercializing the technology by funding its final development and obtaining an exclusive license.
