Program Solicitation No. DE-PS26-00NT40773 due May 15, 2000. DOD,
through DOE's National Energy Technology Laboratory at Morgantown, WV,
will provide grants to support the cost of stationary fuel cell
demonstrations of successful, qualifying applicants proposing
demonstrations of US-manufactured fuel cell power plants. These grants
shall not exceed 1/3 the cost of the project (including cost,
delivery, installation and one year of operation) up to $1,000 per
kilowatt. Purchased units must be equal to or greater than 3 kilowatts
and projects are anticipated to be less than 3 megawatts in size.
Proposals will be due on May 15, 2000. Awards are projected to be made
during the first part of July 2000 with all project work including one
calendar year of operation and a final report to be completed by
September 29, 2004. Solicitation packages will be available on
approximately February 21, 2000, from NETL internet at
http:://www.netl.doe.gov/business. A 3.5" diskette in Word Perfect
version 6.1 may be requested from the contract specialist by mail or
facsimile at (304) 285-4683. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
