Herting (202) 326-4160 The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is seeking a contractor to provide paying agent, withholding agent and other related benefit payment services for defined benefit pension plans administered by PBGC. Services include but are not limited to: disbursement of periodic and non-periodic pension payments by check and Automated Clearing House (ACH), Federal income tax withholding and reporting, customer services, accounting and reconciliation, benefit payment administration advice and consulting and automated data processing support. Potential offerors should possess extensive experience in providing paying agent, withholding agent and other related benefit payment services for defined benefit pension plans. Potential offerors' resources must support, at a minimum, a current workload of approximately 214,000 annuity and 1,600 lump sum payments each month, and an anticipated net increase of 12,000-15,000 new payees per year based on current economic conditions. Work will be performed under the administration of the Insurance Operations Department. The estimated base period of performance shall be from July 1, 2000 to September 30, 2000 with six (6) one-year options for renewal.
