The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with FlightSafety International utilizing alpha negotiations. This proposed contract would be pursued in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Its purpose is to support the Navy's Command Aircraft Crew Training (CACT)Program for academic and simulator training on the UC-35C aircraft (a Cessna Citation V ULTRA aircraft as configured for U.S. Navy). FlightSafety International is the only source with a 14 CFR Part 142 training center for the Cessna Citation Ultra and Level "C" CE-500-560 certified simulator that is configured Cessna Citation V Ultra. All other responses to the Sources Sought synopsis did not meet the minimum technical requirements. This request is considered to be sole source to FlightSafety International; therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement. Work will begin on or around 7/1/00.
