Furnish flight services fully contractor operated and maintained consisting of one airplane, Aero Commander 680 or equal. Project is in support of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Steller's Eiders (and other sea duck species of concern). Surveys will be conducted in the areas of Dutch Harbor, Akutan, Sand Point, False Pass and Chignik Bay Alaska. Surveys will consist of slow and low level flights along coastlines and coves. Surveys will be conducted out of Dutch Harbor and Cold Bay Alaska. Aircraft shall have contractor-furnished bubble windows. Extended fuel tanks may be required for aircraft to fly 600 nautical miles without refueling. Performance will be short intermittent periods during January 31 through March 25, 2000, for approximately a total of 14 days. Estimated flight time is a total of 59 hours. Selection will be made on experience in geographic area and similar project type experience, including pilots with experience in survey work in coastal Alaska. Primary consideration will be given to Contractor having an Aircraft Rental Agreement (ARA) with Office of Aircraft Services.
