The Bureau of Reclamation Snake River Area Office,, has a requirement for maintenance of fences at Cascade Reservoir, near Cascade (Valley County) Idaho. We have barbed wire, electric, and wood post & rail fences that need to be maintained. The contractor is responsible for providing all equipment, materials and labor to maintain the fences. We have approximately 7.9 miles of barbed wire fence, 10.6 miles of electric fence, and 3.8 miles of wood post & rail fence. Maintenance of the electric fence requires a herbicide application to keep the weeds down each spring. The herbicide applicator must have a current Idaho State applicator's license. This solicitation will be issued under Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) for Commercial Items. This contract will be a performance-based service contract. The solicitation will be issued approximately February 7, 2000 and the offer due date will be approximately March 7, 2000, these dates are subject to change. Offers will be evaluated minimally on past performance, available resources, and price, further clarification of the evaluation factors will be in the solicitation, Sections L and M.
