This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, N00164-00-Q-0072, is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation will also be available on the Internet at http://www.crane.navy.mil/. This synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 3679. This acquisition is for a quantity of 6 each SH-60B Helicopter Emergency Lighting Systems (HEELS), H. Koch & Sons Company P/N 095-840260-1. These HEELS must meet the configuration requirements for the SH-60B. This requirement is intended to be procured on a sole-source basis from H. Koch & Sons Company, 5410 E. LaPalma Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92807-2099. H. Koch is the only contractor who has been approved as a source for the SH-60B HEELS. Delivery is required FOB Stratford, Connecticut on or before 15 July 2000. This requirement is for brand name only, H. Koch P/N 095-840260-1. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale, provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. Offerors responding to this announcement must provide the information contained in 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors -- Commercial Items and must include a completed copy of provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items.
