Request for Proposal #JC-RX-00-01 for the continued operation of the Cascades Job Corps Center located in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, will be available on or about February 9, 2000, on the Job Corps Acquisition Home Page (http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps/schedule.html). It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a cost-reimburseable plus fixed-fee for a two-year base period of October 1, 2000 through September 30, 2002, plus three performance based options of one year each. The approximate average capacity strength of the Cascades Center is 218 residential males and 109 residential females for a total capacity of 327. There will be a Walk-thru of the Cascades facility located at 2267 Northern State Road, Sedro-Woolley, Washington, on Wednesday, February 23, 2000, beginning promptly at 9:00 A.M., local time. Upon entering the facility, participants will be met at the gate by Regional Office staff and escorted to the Walk-thru starting point. A Pre-proposal Conference will be convened following theWalk-thru at 11:00 A.M., in the Administration Building Conference Room. All questions prior to the Pre-proposal Conference should be submitted in writing to the Seattle Regional Office of Job Corps, Suite 800, 1111 Third Avenue, Seattle, Washington 98101-3212. Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth between the ages of 16 and 24. The Contractor will be expected to manage and operate a government-owned facility and hire staff for residential living, basic education, vocational training, and the provision of health services. We recommend that you download the RFP prior to attending the Pre-proposal Conference. Proposals in response to this RFP will consist of Oral Presentations and Written Submissions as described in Section L. of the RFP.
