COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JANUARY 24,2000 PSA#2521A -- HYDROACOUSTIC SUPPORT (SOLE SOURCE) The Defense Threat Reduction
Agency (DTRA) intends to award a follow-on sole source contract to
Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) for the
continuation of Hydroacoustic support associated with the Comprehensive
Test Ban Treaty (CTBT). The contractor will incorporate new
hydroacoustic stations into the Prototype International Data Center
(PIDC) and provide for maintenance and upgrade of existing
hydroacoustic monitoring capabilities with focus on reuse of existing
software and new software development that conforms with existing
standards. The contractor will be required to optimize the utility of
the hydroacoustic subnetwork while supporting data fusion efforts.
Tasks generally involve maintenance and enhancement of the
International Monitoring System (IMS) hydroacoustic modules DFX-H,
StaPro-H, and GA-H, and the promotion of modified versions to PIDC
operations following software integration, testbed evaluation, and
Configuration Review Board (CCB) proposal/review. The period of
performance for this contract will be two (2) years. This request is
considered to be sole source to Science Applications International
Corporation, therefore, no solicitation will result from this
