House of Representatives is seeking sources interested in competing for a possible award of a contract for the repair and or restoration of a wide variety of desks and case goods. Repair would primarily consist of replacing necessary plastic laminate, missing mouldings, faulty drawer slides, missing hardware, damaged drawer fronts, etc. on existing inventory that will then be made available for Members of Congress and their support staff for use. Restoration includes filling dents and gouges, staining replaced parts to match existing color and top coating with lacquer. The contractor(s) would also be responsible for pickup and delivery of these items, meeting quality control standards and ensuring timely turn-around of these items. The Furniture Resource Center is attempting to gather information about potential sources for this work in order to craft and distribute an invitation for bids to as many vendors as possible. Interested vendors are encouraged to send company information to include current pricing on similar work, potential labor rates and any other information that may assist in gauging market interest for this work.
