7413 The Cleveland Business Center, Cleveland, Ohio referred to
hereinafter Employee Education Center (EES) proposes to enter into a
contract for the rental audiovisual equipment and technical support for
one (1) VA Conference. This is a Request for Quotations, for which it
and all incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 97-12. The procurement is 100% Set-Aside for Small
Business. The Standard Industrial Classification Code(SIC) is 7359. The
Small Business Size Standard for this procurement is $5 Million. This
is a combined snyopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a
written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. The conference shall be held
in the following location: John Ascuaga's Nugget Casino Resort, Sparks
(Reno) Nevada from February 6, 2000(setup) through February 11, 2000
(noon). The Contractor shall set up, maintain, and strike all
audiovisual equipment to include image magnification of the general
session, operation and maintenance of audiovisual equipment for the
general session as well as four (4) additional breakout sessions on
Tuesday February 8, 2000 and five (5) total breakout sessions on
Thursday February 10, 2000. The Contractor shall meet all deadlines for
setup and striking of audiovisual equipment in the general sessions as
well as the breakout sessions during the conference. The Contractor
shall be ready for checkout and crew rehearsal by 6 pm on setup day,
Sunday, February 6, 2000 in Reno, Nevada. The equipment for the general
sessions shall be struck after the final session on the third and last
day of the conference. The equipment for the breakout sessions shall
be set up by 5 pm on setup day and struck after the final session on
the third and last day of the conference. General sessions will be held
two and one half (2 1/2) days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) with the
last day ending around noon local time. The General Session room to be
used for breakout session on Tuesday, February 8, 20000. General
Session increases from 500 to 1000 attendees only on the afternoon of
Wednesday February 9, 2000. There will be four (4) additional breakout
sessions on Tuesday, February 8, 2000 and five (5) total breakout
sessions on Thursday February 10, 2000. The Contractor shall provide
the technical crew for image magnification of the general sessions. The
Contractor shall provide a technician for all general sessions and
breakouts to handle the room audio and a technician to handle video
lighting in the general session. The Contractor shall respond to
on-site requests for additional equipment in a timely manner. The
Contractor shall provide a project manager to interface with the EES
Media Development Manager and the EES Conference Planner. The
Department of Veterans Affairs will provide 24 hour security for the

contact person) for which you have provided similar services within the
past three (3) years and (4) Price. The evaluation criteria are
considered equal in importance with price. Sources responding to this

price proposal which includes a complete address, synopsis addressing
