Provide recreation facilities, as authorized, to meet the needs of the City of Ponce and surrounding areas. The two recreation areas were identified in the Recreation Master Plan for the Cerrillos Lake Project (DM 10) and approved under the Feature Design Memorandum (DM 15). The areas were planned to complement one another and to meet objectives established jointly by various Puerto Rico government agencies and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Recreation facilities will be accessible by handicapped users. Site 1: Campo de Recreo consists of one large and one small multipurpose play field, two multipurpose hard courts, one multipurpose sand court, a playlot, three medium gazebos, one large gazebo, three small overlooks, two small restroom facilities, one administration building, a multi-level fountain, one well/pumphouse with waterlines, lighting and other electrical work, 18 picnic shelters, landscaping, signage, fencing, grading, drainage structures, shoreline protection, paved access and circulatoryroadways, paved car parking, paved bus parking, and paved walks/trails. Site 2: El Atracadero consists of paved access roadway, paved parking, administrative building, restroom facility, boatramp with paved parking, 12 picnic shelters, three medium gazebos, paved walks/trails, lighting and other electrical work, landscaping, signage, guard rail, fencing, grading, retaining walls, drainage structures, shoreline protection, and well/pumphouse with waterlines. Magnitude of construction is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. Invitation will be issued on or about 02/10/00 and open on or about 03/15/2000. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small businesses.
