Specialist, (401) 736-1785 Contractor shall provide all labor,
materials, equipment, disposal, transportation and supervision
necessary for the Satterlee Hall Asbestos Removal at USCG Academy, New
London, CT. The work includes removal and disposal of asbestos
containing material (ACM). Successful contractor shall remove and
dispose of all insulation from piping located in the basement
crawlspace of Satterlee Hall. All damaged insulation that has fallen
from pipes will be removed. Contaminated soil will be removed.
Contractor shall be responsible for the set up of engineering controls
to avoid the spread of asbestos to other areas of the building.
Decontamination of all surfaces and disposal of all ACM is required.
All local, state and federal regulations shall be followed in the
execution of removal and disposal of asbestos. Estimated cost range of
this project is $100,000 to $250,000. Solicitation will be available
on or about 11 February 2000 for a non-refundable deposit. Checks or

the number of amendments issued with the Contracting Officer prior to
the bid opening date. Bid opening date is scheduled for 13 March 2000
at 2:00 pm. Bid bond and performance and payment bonds are required.
This procurement is issued in accordance with the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is unrestricted. SPECIAL
