Project work includes the removal of shoal material from Entrance Channel Cuts 1B, 1, and 2 (including wideners between Cut-1 and Cut-2) and from the Trident Channel and the Trident Turning Basin. The dredging work will consist of removal of approximately 159,000 cubic yards of shoal material from the outer portion of the project with disposal in Ocean Disposal Area-O as well as removal of approximately 102,000 cubic yards of shoal material from the inner portion of the project with disposal in the Nearshore Disposal Area or the Ocean Disposal Area-O. The determination of which disposal area to use will be based on a visual inspection of the dredged material. Work also includes Turbidity Monitoring. Only Coast Guard Certified vessels will be allowed to work in this project. Construction time is 90 calendar days. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
