The 30th Space Wing, Vandenberg AFB, CA 93437-5226 is soliciting offerors to replace the hot water storage tank and auxiliary items at Bldg. 13330, Breakers Dining Facility. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. There is one (1) solicitation number associated with this requirement. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in affect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. This is a 100% set-aside for small business participation only. The solicitation number is F04684-00-T-0258. The NAICS is 235110 and the SIC is 1711. The Size Std. is $7,000,000.00 . There is one Line Item as follows: Services, Non-Personal: Contractor to furnish all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities, transportation, and supervision necessary to Replace the Hot Water Storage Tank and Auxiliary Items at Bldg. 13330, Breakers Dining Facility. Remove existing Hot Water Storage Tank, including insulation, jacketing, heat exchanger, and piping up to and including the first union. Remove and save all steam supply piping, control valves, steam traps, etc., for use on the new tank. Furnish and install one (1) new Model TSH54132 Horizontal 1500 Gallon Tank, complete with F8x84x13TM copper tube heat exchanger for 1000 gpm (gallon per hour) recovery at 120-degree rise. Insulate new tank with 2 inch fiberglass tank wrap with stucco embossed aluminum jacket on the shell and 2 inch finishing cement with Childers seal coat for water proofing on heads. Clean work site and remove all old material, equipment, and waste. All work to be completed NO LATER THAN 15 May, 2000. The provisions at FAR 52.212-2 "Evaluation-Commercial Items," applies to this acquisition.
