System Maintenance: The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a
competitive requirement for the continued maintenance of the Agency's
MSL-100 telephone system. The equipment is physically located in
Woodlawn and downtown Baltimore, Maryland. The maintenance support must
include software and hardware for the 30,000 line system which
includes, at the present time, 21,000 active lines. The contract will
provide for training, telephone relocations, cabling and acquisition of
telephone equipment and accessories. Interested parties must have total
access to parts and spares, be able to provide onsite technicians who
are fully knowledgeable of each system component, and provide a 24-hour
emergency response. Only written requests for solicitation number
SSA-RFP-00-3955 will be accepted 30 days from the date of this
publication. Faxed requests may be sent to (410) 965-9560. The RFP was
released on December 14, 1999 and will close on February 3, 2000. The
resultant contract will contain a basic one-year period with six one
year option periods. The Government will consider all proposals from
