58 -- MODIFICATION TO THE MEMORY LOADER VERIFIER SET (MLVS) INTERCONNECTING GROUP SOL N68335-00-R-0249 DUE 021400 POC Darla M. Kelly (732) 323-7437 or Fax (732) 323-4069 This acquisition is for the modification of the F-14 Memory Loader Verifier Set (MLVS) Interconnecting Group for which the Government does not own complete technical specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. The resultant contract will also include a First Article, Maintenance Plan, drawings, publication reviews, and Design Change Notices (DCNs). The Government intends to procure this modification under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The acquisition is a limited competition limited only to Raytheon Technical Services and Northrop Grumman Corporation as the manufacturer and/or repair service of the MLVS Interconnecting Group. Raytheon Technical Services and Northrop Grumman Corporation are the only known sources with the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary for the modification involved. Firms that recognize and support the F-14 MLVS Interconnecting Group are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
